About me
I am a freelance artist who is very excited about creating fantasy art, most often with characters shown in various outdoor or sometimes indoor environments. The subject matter for the artworks shown on this website is influenced mainly by my interests in painting nature-inspired and urban scenes, which would look somehow a bit stranger than the real world, but will hopefully have some things in common with it as well.
The main reason for choosing art as a career path has been the joy of drawing or painting something recognisable or even slightly more different than reality on paper or digitally, even if it very often needs further refinement after the initial sketching and line art stages. Every stage of completing an artwork is very important to me, and I try to improve the scenes as much as I can at every step of the workflow. The art shown here was completed primarily digitally except for the initial phase when the main setup was drawn on paper.
In my free time, in addition to drawing in my sketchbook, I also enjoy reading stories in the fantasy and sci-fi genres, which is, of course, another way to explore imaginary places.
